Soo i am 1 month post op from RNY i have lost 27 pounds, and i've been stuck on the same weight for about a week now, actually it would go up and down i would gain a pound or two and the next day i will go back. I actually cried beacause i feel like i did this surgery to only lose 27 pounds. I did not know this was going to be happening, yes i did have an idea that my weight was gonna get stuck at some point, but not a month after surgery!! can someone please help and let me know if this has happen to u?? and if im ever gonna go back to losing weight??

First things first.....deep breath in, deep breathe out.

Now answer....this is very typical. Most hit their first stall at about 3 weeks out. Those who skip this one (I did) typically get it before 8 weeks out.
Me...I stalled at 5 weeks. I am going to be 8 weeks out on tuesday and only yesturday did my scale start moving again. That was a 3 week stall and I was doing everything I should. It happens. Best advice I can give...put away the scale. Only weigh 1 or 2 times a week (I chose Saturdays and if I needed another day Wednesday). I actually gained 3lbs during my stall but that was towards the end of it and cause my aunt flo came around. Between friday and today Ive lost the 3lb gain and that b*tch left yesturday and this morning I am down another lb.

Overall...just don't stress it too much. Happens to everyone eventually. And if you are near that time of the month...many gain a few but lose it by the end (as I did).

thats totally normal.. I lost 30 pounds pre-op and then didnt lose anything for the first month after I had the surgery. I was freaking out thinking I had the surgery for nothing. then about 6 weeks out, the weight just fell off.  I mean, look - I am barely 4 months out now and only 30 pounds from goal !!! Dont worry. Youre gonna be fine =]

I saw a posting on someone's blog that said they stalled too. The doctor recomended increasing protien from 100mg. daily to 150mg. talk to your doctor before doing this but it worked for the other woman.
