Bat wings, bikinis, and the Bahamas!

Hey you guys!

It seems like I don't get enough time to come on here and post anymore.  With the nice weather my son and I have been outside non-stop!   Not complaining though!

I have some exciting news to share with all of you.  Next year will be my husband and mine 5 year anniversary, so we decided we wanted to take a trip somewhere.  After much research (not as much as WLS..lol) and price comparing, we are going to be taking a 4 day cruise to the Bahamas in January!!  The way our flights work out we'll have two extra days in Orlando so we are going to check out Disney World too, which is something neither of  us have ever done.  Oh my gosh you guys, I'm so excited I could seriously pee my pants.  I'm ready to go now, too bad I have to wait 7 more months!   This vacation is the perfect motivation to get my last 20lbs off!

My newest NSV moment was this weekend when I wore a little string bikini top and goucho pants outside...with people around...and it was ok!!  I've NEVER worn a bikini before and never though I would but I did and I LOVED it.  I wish I could walk around with one on all the time.

My newest hang up is my bat wings.  I know some of us struggle with that but I was at my class at the gym the other day and saw my sad little arms sagging down as we were doing some weight training.  I hate to think  of another surgery but I seriously hate my arms.

Thanks for letting me share!

Love your NSV!!!!

My arms are my biggest hang up.  I plan on meeting with a PS or two later this summer/early fall to see if it is an option.

oooh good luck on your trip. Im going to disney this year and the only reason i even considered it is because I can wear shorts and a tank top and not feel like everyone is staring at me.  Now they will be starting but because I look so good in my TT and shorts.
I have major bat wings too and i was inspecting them with my mom who also had WLS 7 years ago. she says: If I could get anything done now I would get these things fixed! Im like I agree! I cant wave at people because my arm keeps waving after I stopped. :)
We probably are making them out to be horrible and no one even notices, its just our selfconsciousness since we are FF or former fatties. Like that article said sometimes we forget that we actually look GOOD.
But we do!
wtg Disney ive never been either!

A bikini top...Wow...Unfortunately for me I've had 4 babies and have major stretch marks in my abdominal area  so I dont ever see myself wearing a bikini top...But Erika's idea about the tank top and shorts...I guess I will have to live with that.

That is all too awesome Emily!  Yeah I've given up on my arms, and if people don't like em they don't have to look!  You are going to have the best time in the Bahamas, I went several years ago and we're going on a cruise to Mexico in September that I'm looking forward to, but isn't planning vacation so much funner now that you're skinnier???

Totally!!   I'm excited to wear a swim suit and not be embarrassed.  My body will never be perfect but I'm proud of how it looks now...which is an accomplishment in itself!
