One week Post-Op

I am new to this site. I had my surgery 6/16/09. No one told me it hurt so badly. I am finally feeling better. I gained almost 30 lbs of water weight in the hospital and I am finally close to my pre-op weight. I can't tell the difference between being hungry and full with the pouch. I so do not want to eat clear liquid or mushy things but I am doing it. Does anyone have advise for how to get through the first few weeks?

Everything u are feeling is normal. I still don't fully understand hunger cues to this day! But if u just follow ur meal plans it will be fine. My liquid stage was just while in the hospital so I don't have much advice for that...best bet is broth and water or diet snapple. I went straight to mushies after I was released but had NO appetite and everything tasted funny for weeks :/
The best mushy meal was spaghetti sauce w/ ricotta cheese, mozzarella, topped w/ a bit of parmesan cheese...baked in the oven= ooey gooey goodness!!!!

Thanks for the advice and good wishes guys. I am really bored today and I have been crusing a bunch of websites. I am obsessed with this site and the one you recomended Blanca. Thanks so much. This community seems so welcoming.
