13.1..
is exactly how many miles i am attempting to run on OCT 10th. later this year. i am 3 1/2 yrs out and kinda have gotten a lil stagnant. the struggle to keep the weight off has gotten a lil harder. i havent gained a lot but have been holdng steady now a lil higher than i was b4, but would like to drop maybe 5 more. this time last yr, as some of u know, i was playing football. unfortunately due to work restraints, i am unable to commit to the team like i would like to, so i decided to "retire.".. well i decided to join the gym and get back into shape and set a goal for myself. about a yr and a half someone posted a 5k challenge on here and i did. Now i would like to extend the distance making the goal much more difficult but that much more rewarding. i can't believe i am going to attempt a half marathon. i've always wanted to run one, so hopefully later this yr i will be able to say i have!!!

You can do it! I did my first half marathon in Alaska last year with Team in Training....and I still haven't even had my surgery yet. I am now a mentor and help others train for marathons and half marathons. If you need/want any advice, support, or encouragement feel free to send me a message.
The training can be tough at times but I can promise you it will be soooo worth it in the end.
Which event are you doing if you don't mind me asking?
