Got my date!! Finally!!

So... I was getting frustrated that no one had called from my surgeon's office to schedule me. I didn't want to be "that person" that calls all the time, so I waited patiently... for 2 weeks.

Today, work asked me again if I had a date. I figured it's been long enough... I need to call them.

The girl who answer the phone said "We were waiting for you call back! We left you a message on the 4th"   WTF?!?

I almost cried. They didn't give the scheduler my new number so she left a message for someone else... and I've been waiting for 2 weeks for NOTHING!

Anyway... all is well... and I have a date... July 9th! Just over 3 weeks away!! Now the nerves are starting to kick in....

I would have been calling everyday! I AM that person.
Glad you got a date...Every time I hear someone has a date I get so excited and cant wait for mine to be scheduled...My initial consultation isn't even for another nine days...I wish time would go faster!!!!!!!!

Believe me... once you get to your inital consultation.... time will FLY! It feels like yesterday I was going to my first seminar. It was so exciting!

If you have a 6-month pre-op diet, it sucks... you just want it to be over with... but, honestly, cherish this time, it's really important... I've learned so much about myself and my eating habits in the last 6 months. It's a real eye-opener.

Lucky for me my insurance doesn't require the 6 month pre-op diet...but I do have to wait till the first of October so I can use my vacation time for recovery.  Oh well like you said time will fly...hopefully!

congrats darling.....  Happy dance for both of us....mine is july 8th.   What kind of diet do you do before hand?  I have to do medifast 2 weeks before...i went in today to have my EKG and meet with a trainer


Just think ppl will be celebrating independance day on July 4th...i'm gonna celebrate the end of the old and the start of a new!!!!

I'm really lucky... I don't have any kind of pre-op 2 week before thing. I just have to do clear liquids the day before and nothing after midnight.

I'm probably going to do my own semi-pre op diet just to get my mind completely ready and know that I'm going into surgery as healthy as possible. 

But knowing me... I'll start it the Sunday before surgery and have one last party for the 4th. :)

lucky you. Im also in that position. I got a verbal approval from my insurance coordinator but apparently she hasn't faxed or mailed the letter over to the surgeon's office. Until they get that piece of paper I can't schedule either. I also hate being that person that nags and calls all the time. It's so hard for me not too. Congrats on your date. Hopefully Ill get mine soon too!!! Keep us posted....
