sweet love of food
I learned a little something at my doctors appt last week that may seem like some valuable info. Anyways, my doctor said that 90% of the people who gain their weight back after surgery was due to snacking. So, snacking isn't the best thing to do. Just be careful and use your tool to its advantage. Eat 3 to 4 meals a day with no in between snacking. I hope this helps you out a little.
Doing something else unrelated to food helps me not to snack. I've started a lot (probably too many) house projects like painting, purging of junk, etc. to keep me busy. It's amazing how you don't even think about food when you've got other things to do. I still give in sometimes but I have noticed it's when I'm bored or doing nothing that it happens the most.
I also try to tell myself that no matter how much I love the food, it doesn't love me back!

That's good that you avoided it. I never would've thought snacking all day would cause weight gain but, that's what my doc said. Everyone say's your supposed to eat 6 small meals a day but not after WLS. My nutritionist said to eat 3 meals a day and NO snacking. Well sweetie, good luck on your journey and keep up the good work. You look GREAT !!!
