Protein is a key factor in weight loss. It's the building blocks of your body, so if you take it away, your body's ability to heal, adjust, and maintain it's health is seriously compromised.

Try the pre-op diet again for a week. 5 8oz shakes a day. Veggies, suger free jello, broth, water.

Hi,

I stopped losing weight at approximately 12 months.  I think protein helps because it keeps you full longer?  But I found that I had to hit the gym to lose additional weight.  My stomach had stretched some and I noticed I could consume more than I did the 1st year, so I had to moniter what I ate and worked out about 4-5 times a week.  My plateau weight was...138-143 lbs maybe?  I ended getting down to 128 lbs, a size 4 after initiating the workout/diet.

Good luck!
