liquid diet- surgery June 15th

I am having my surgery on June 15th. I started my liquid diet today...14 days of:

3 protein drinks
sugar-free jello
sugar-free popsicles
fat free, low sodium chicken or beef broth
crystal light (unlimited)
water (unlimited)

and the day before my surgery I am on clear liquids only.


It is 4:30 and I have had two protein drinks, 1 serving protein jello and crystal light...


I am starting to feel hungry. Luckily I have to work for an hour or so in about 30 minutes and then when I get back my husband and I are going to the gym....


trying to keep myself busy. If needed I will take tylenol pm to be able to fall alseep...

2 WEEKS, I am stoked!

good luck. the liquid diet isnt fun but the end result is so worth it!

Hey my name is sarah and I to will be having my surgery shortly. June 19th 9am! Ill be starting my liquid diet friday. I was wondering if you have any fears? Ok so before I got approved I kept fearing that it wouldn't happen and now that it has my fears have changed. Now I fear I won't lose. Is that even possible? I'm in fear that ill do what I'm supposed to and not lose anything. Maybe I'm alone in this but since our surgeries our so close I thought I'd ask. Thanks doll! Good luck with the surgery!

not losing is always a fear people have before surgery- the "am i making the right decision" question crosses my mind...but I am I am and I know that everyone loses....how much depends on the effort you put it in....and I plan on putting all my efforts in.

 Hi ladies!  So I'm having surgery June 16th and I think I only have to do 2 days of the liquid diet, weird, I don't go for my pre op appt. till the 12th so I guess I will find out then.  Kinda wish they made me do something like that cuz I'm starting to get overwhelmed (and kinda brave) having things "one last time" lol and yes I am getting scared now that it is down to the wire!  This has been such an emotional roller coaster!!

I too was told to start the liquid diet 2 days prior, but I started today to see If I can do it up until surgery day.
