Thought I'd introduce myself!!!

Hi everyone, I am Whitney from Utah. I am 23 years old and started my journey into WLS a few months ago. I have decided to get RNY. I originally wanted lap band, but decided with my surgeon that RNY was a better fit. I am scheduled to get the surgery on June 8 (eeeeek!). I am very excited, but really nervous. I am ready to make the lifestyle changes, but I am really scared of the surgery itself. I feel confident that I will come out fine and have no complications, but I haven't ever had surgery before, and I hate doctors/hospitals!!!. I start the pre-op diet day after tomorrow. I can't beleive that it is all happening so fast, but I am excited for it to be over and to start losing and being more healthy. Anyway, just thought I'd say hi! I look forward to getting to know everybody.

Welcome!!!  Its perfectly normal to be scared but the rewards of the surgery far outway the risks.  I dont regret having my RNY for one moment. Good Luck, the best is yet to come!!!!

WELCOME!!!!! & Goodluck with everything. Im schedulded for surgery on June15th... eeehhhh!!! But everyone here at OH has been very helpful and motivating. Keep us all posted on how everything is going. =)
