Sick & Question about juice
i am sooo sick with a cold from hell and i just wanna cry. we are so short staffed at work so i have been going to work feeling like this. i havent once felt hungry since surgery so i have to make myself eat but with this cold i find it impossible to eat. i feel like a 4yr old who doesnt want to take her medicine when its time to eat.
my body does want liquids so i keep drinking water, is it ok to drink some 100% apple juice? oddly enough its been the only thing that i have been craving.

You simply cannot be beaten if, at the end of the day, some tiny part of you can still whisper: "I will try again tomorrow"
its kinda hard to say. my surgeon doesnt allow any juice until we've lost 75% of our excess weight. so checking with your nut is probably best. if you do venture into the juice drinking i would make sure its 100% no sugar added...and maybe try dilluting it a bit with water just to start out. if you can try the first time at home, JUST IN CASE you dont do well with natural sugar.
I have found i do great with natural sugar, hope you have the same luck!
p.s. hope you feel better soon =)

Just to show you how different surgeons can be, my surgeon recommended juice from day one and still says it's fine as long as it's 100%. I would try a very small amount to see how you do and then probably no more than 4 oz at a time. I have never been a juice drinker much myself so I don't worry too much about going overboard.
Hope you feel better!

I wouldn't do apple juice. Even if you tolerate it, it's very high in calories (120 calories or so per cup) and doesn't provide much more benefit over any other kind of sweet drink. I guess you could dilute it, but I would try to find a crystal light that you like and stay away from the juice. Or, if you are really craving it, just buy a individual serving container at a convienience store and just have that. I wouldn't keep it on tap though.
