So today is memorial day and I am almost a month post-op (my 1 month mark is where my diet is open to anything I can tolerate). I wanted to know what is safe for a 3 week post-op to eat at a bbq. I really want to try maybe a third of a grilled turkey burger but am afraid of all the scares. Also, are grilled things like chicken (which I can eat) generally safe or is the fact that it is baked instead of baked or sauteed going to cause problems?

Thanks for your help and Happy Memorial Day!

Grilled food is fine but it has a tendancy to be dry, so watch out for that.  I get very full very quickly on things like burgers off the grill, so don't over do it...I have and it wasn't pleasent.

Happy grilling!
