Yogurt...
Hello,
This seems like a silly question to be asking on here, especially since I can just ask my NUT on Tuesday, but I'm going to ask anyway....I'm having my surgery on Wednesday so I've been out shopping to fill my cabinets with acceptable Post Op foods. Since yogurt is one of the acceptable foods for the early stages of Post Op diet I was wondering what kinds I should get. My NUT said that I should only eat food that contains less than 9grams of sugar per serving and I can't find any yogurt that fits into that category. Maybe my grocery store doesn't carry the right kind or maybe I didn't look hard enough but I couldn't find a single yogurt that had less than 11grams of sugar per serving....any suggestions?
Thanks!
~H

Becuase lactose is a natural sugar, you won't find a yogurt that fits under 9g of sugar. Try Dannon light and fit, or Breyers light, both of these brands do not have added sugar, which is what you should look out for. I remember when I was first out and was looking for yogurt, I almost had a nervous breakdown scrutinzing every last label.
Not sure if you have a Kroger near you but they make a "carb control" yogurt that has low sugar and 10g of protein!
