Introductions just seem to be in right now...
I've been stuck on the MN forums for a lil over a year, so I'm branching out to hang out with you guys a little - so hi! I'm Amber!
I'm 22, from MN, and a newspaper reporter. I had my RNY last June, and am working on the last 40 pounds until onederland. :) I've been plateaued like crazy, since I moved away from the 'rents for the first time in February, still learning how to grocery shop but getting better and better every week!
I'm a music junkie, LOVE cooking (Addicted to "The World According to Eggface" like you wouldn't believe) and watch way too much TV. I'm far too much of a smartass for my own good, but if you ask me about life before or after surgery and need an honest answer, I can do it without sounding patronizing or anything, so ask away. In addition to my own surgery, I've been through both of my parents' surgeries, so I've seen the good AND the bad of all of it. My mom's 10 years out this August and has kept off all but about 20 pounds of a nearly 200 lb loss. My dad didn't follow the rules and gained a LOT back - He also took the hard way of losing it by getting cancer in 2007. Cheater. (SEE what I mean about being a smartass?)
So yeah. That's me in a nutshell. Wanna know anything, ask, and I'll try to keep posts to only "my two cents" - six cents at most, lol.
