Skin bounces back?
Hi I am new to the boards!
I am 22 and I have only been overweight/obese for 4 years. I just had my surgery on the 14th of May (RNY) and I am losing decently. I was in the 320s before surgery but I was about 140ish 4 years ago. The thing is I am thinking since I wasn't big my whole life and I haven't been that big for very long that my skin will bounce back ok. I am prepared to have arm surgery (because my arms are soo bad) but I am hoping that I won't need a whole lower body lift. I am less concerned about major skin problems in the stomach area as I am about bulges on the back and bad texture of skin. I have noticed there are a lot of people who managed to lose (though they lost around 100 and I have 150 to lose) and not have skin texture problems.
Just wondering if anyone has been close to my stats and lost and looks normal.
Thanks,
Justa

What happens with your skin has to do with more than a dozen different factors; genes, how the weight was distributed, your skin's own, personal elasticity, how quickly you gained, how quickly you loose....Just too many things to factor in. It's all individual.
You can probably bank on your body reabsorbing SOME of the excess, but very few people loose massive amounts of weight and don't end up with some excess skin or skin texture issues.

don´t you worry about that!!! LOSE SKIN WOULD WORTH IT. concentrate of get healthy and then you can concentrate inothere things. any ways you have to lose the weight!!!
