The waiting period...

Did the wait to get to the point of being approved for surgery drive anyone crazy?  I have to go through a 3 month regimen before I can submit my paperwork to the insurance company for approval.  I am still in the first month.  I know I can do it, but it just seems like it's going to be forever until I get to that point.  It's hard when you been big all your life and they tell you that you have to wait even longer.  Any words of encouragement?  How did you keep from going insane during this waiting period?

Oooo goodness I went semi crazy during the weight lol I mean wait. But seriously I packed my schedule with things to do..."other things to look forward to" ie: family events, support group meetings, picked up some great WLS books. Met some great people on OH! Your 3 month will be over...keep thinking at least you don't have to do the 12 month regimen like others! That was a big reminder for me that I was lucky! 

What books do you recommend? You're right...3 months should fly by.  Ahh, I just can't wait for it to be here though.  Thank you for the encouragement!

Ugh. I have to do the flipping 6mo supervised diet. (Which somehow is actually only 5mo- end of April to end of Sept... the doctor said it is 6 visits.. not 6 months but whatever).  But it has seriousally been the longest time of my entire life!! I've been working on all the pre-surgery testing and everything and that is killing some time but I just want it to go faster!! My mind is so preoccupied with the surgery... it's all I think about... all I talk about... it is seriousally taking over my mind!! I'm trying to just enjoy the summer but it's hard. Can someone please wake me up, when september ends??

 It should fly by....I know I have had my 6 month diet even before thinking about weight loss surgery, but this whole time I have been fighting with the stupid insurance company to approve me! Everyone keeps telling me not to give up and that I can't let them take my new beginning to a new life away....it just frustrates me! You will make it through it hun and just keep your head up thats what everyone keeps telling me!

 Thankyou hun and yeah I know I hate how they treat people through this whole thing and I just dont understand why they give people a hard time because in the end they will save money on your health!
