Update
Well to start things off, tomorrow May 16th is my birthday!! I had a consult with Dr.Dakin in NYC on May 5th, He was very surprised how much I already knew about the DS, and how organized I was. "You're one of those dream patients" he said lol
anyways, the consult went great, he feels confident in preforming the DS on me with Dr.Pomp his colleague by his side, since its a more complex surgery than any other type. He wanted me to see his nut twice before surgery to go over post-op eating, vitamins/minerals, all that stuff. So I saw her on May 5th as well. I go back into NYC on May 19th for a follow up with the nut, she had me do a 7day meal log so she can see what I'm eating like now, and where ill be able to add in extra protein. Once I see her on Tues, they will begin the insurance approval. If everything goes smooth I'm looking at surgery the middle of June!! Just keeping my fingers crossed here on out. I'm beginning to get anxious thou, Ive always had an anxiety issue, but lately its been alot more frequently. I just thought I would give an update at where I'm at. Keep your fingers crossed for me that everything goes smoothly!!!!!
