So I went to my Doctors yesterday...even if i missed my Nut. appointment!!!! Anyways, the doctor told me based on my sleep study, i have severe sleep apena!!!! And he is going to order the machine quickly...he said that i stop breathing or have slow breathing 76 times in one hour!!!! I feel so ashame to use the equipment...and the hubby is saying its not even a big deal and he loves me anyway!!!! I asked the doc to write up something for my boss because one day he called me in his office and had the nerve to ask me if i was doing drugs!!!! I was so pissed!!!! but He explained the people who do drugs are always tired...and im always yawning at work!!!! But the good news is...he said the next time i see him will be for my last pre-op visit!!! and i will be having the surgery very soon....during the summer!!!! Also...i lost 17 pound total, 8 pounds in the last 13 days!!!!

Hey there girly! Sorry but I don’t know why your appointment was so bad. I know it sucks to have a machine but seriously its better than not breathing! I am glad you know why you’re tired all day long at work that’s a good thing you have a co-morbity! Which will only help to prove you medically need this surgery! Keep your chin up seriously you are doing so great! Look at you already loosin!

Good news is my mom said the machine reeally helped her sleep after she got hers. You'll be a lot more rested :) And after wls my mom stopped needing her machine, so no worries, it'll be temporary and should help you sleep better for now :)

hey girl,

not to worry about the sleep stuff- 76 events per hour really isn't even that severe of a case. I worked in sleep medicine the last couple of summers and trust me, there are tons of people that have way worse. It's nothing to be ashamed of- what is crazy is how long people go without getting that stuff treated. it really does make a difference in your sleep. also, any weight you lose will significantly help the process. make sure if they titrate you now that you go back every so often so they can ramp you down as you lose weight. Pay attention to your neck circumference- that's one thing where the correlation to apnea is strong

Congrats on the great weight loss too. pre-op dicipline is great
As someone told me lately, everyone deserves the chance to fly!
