protein
so i know i am just in the begging of the wls but i was wanting to find protein that i like before hand. I really don't care for creamy or milky types of drinks I mean i will if I have too but i was just wondering what everyone else uses, so i can get started on trying some out any suggestions will help i am completely clueless on what i will need . Thanks
I'm not sure how helpful trying out before hand would be since taste buds often change after surgery... I had the same thought to try a bunch of stuff, but I'm not sure it would help much really. II did try my mom's Isopure though and that seems pretty decent tasting, not a creamy drink, just fruity and swee****er. Rather expensive though I think :(
I figure I might ask some of the wls people in my area if they can bring me a sample of theirs in a ziplock baggie. I don't think it would hurt to try out some, your tastes might be similar enough. I kinda don't wanna buy a whole bunch of anything though unless I've tried it you know? Some people for example hate those protein bullets they sell at nut stores.... I think they're okay tasting though if you dilute them a bit. As for non-creamy protein drinks the protein bullets and Isopure are the only ones I have tried....
I think everyone ends up liking something different. What I did though, is if you have a GNC near you, you can return any protein you don't like within 30 days with a reciept. So I ended up trying a bunch of what they had. I ended up liking their store brand banana and their unflavored powder. I'm pretty sure Vitamin Shoppe has the same return policy, so they're a good choice too.

protein shakes make me gag...even now
the bottles of Isopure juice kept me sane for the first six months...40g of protein per bottle and it tastes like fruit juice (there's like 6 flavors of the zero carb)
I would go to GNC and stock up a few cases every month when they had the gold card discount days...expensive?...YES...worth it?...TOTALLY!
give em a try!
