United health care

Hey guys!

Just wondering if anyone has or had united health care? My paperwork was submitted and now im just waiting for their approval. I keep calling and they just tell me its pending.. How long did it take for any of u guys to get ur approval after all was submitted. Im so anxious and nervous. All my paperwork was good. I had six months diet, 5years weight record, pcp letter , psyhc and nutrionist. only thing was i have no comorbidity but my bmi is 41.8

I would appreciate a response from u girls. I cant wait to get approved,

hey im not sure about united because i have bluecross, but i had the "ok" from insurance w/in 5 business days! sounds like you have everything in order, i wouldnt worry...it must seem like its taking forever now huh! dont worry you'll have that approval in no time at all and it will be the sweetest feeling ever =)

 I have united healthcare. I didnt need the diet and had no comorbits. But they submitted mine on a Friday morning and I found out the following Friday. I called them daily  It took another week though to get the letter in hand and my dr's office wouldnt schedule me until they had the letter but then they called on a Tuesday and I was having surgery 2 weeks later  Good Luck!

Hey girls. Thanks for the responses. I cant wait to get that approval. Im so anxious.  It doesnt matter if it isnt united health care. I would like to hear more insurance experiences. Thanks

i had uhc at the time of my surgery... we subd all info in to ins, on a wed, they got back to my dr on friday, stating they needing some addnl info.. it was faxed on friday.. i had my approval by tuesday!!!

Hey!  I have UHC PPO and it took a week for me to hear back. But sometimes they seem a but confused. lol I had to call back 15mins later the first lady i spoke to told me she didnt see an answer yet but she didnt sound too sure she may have been a new associate or something lol. When I called back 15mins later the other person I spoke to told me they mailed out my approval letter the day before. Just stay on top of them! Good Luck!!

awww thats good to hear well on monday it will be a week since the have in under review. hopefull i will have an answer by then
