I just wanted to say I love this forum... you guys and gals are SO incredibly supportive.

I've always been afraid of (disliked?) most people (especially women) my own age because they usually (back in the day) made fun of me or didn't give me the time of day because of my size... they were the 'skinny *****es.'

But now... some of you already ARE skinny *****es... but not in a bad way, LOL. You are confident but have empathy for everyone here and know what they are going through! It's such a good feeling to be amongst you all! Thank you!

2019: 11 years out and maintaining a loss of 150lbs.

Absolutely!! That's the reason I post here 99% of the time. It's funny you should bring that up because I just asked my husband last night if I have changed at all since surgery and he said I haven't I'm still me just a smaller version. That made me happy to hear.

I too had/have issues with other women whom I'm not friends with. I'm not sure why I always think they are judging the way I look because I don't really do that to other women myself. It might just be a girl thing. But yeah, I totally understand where you are coming from. I now realize that people who treat other people that way because of size lead really pathetic lives themselves and are just not good people. I would much rather live my life knowing I'm a good, caring person than trying to uphold some sort of image that I'm better than anyone (which I'm NOT!) and when I look back when i'm 100, I want to see that I gave more than I took.

There are so few places where you can find people *****ALLY understand all these feelings...
So few people have been obese and felt invisible...and no matter what our bodies change into, it's not easy to let that hurt go...
I'm addicted to OH, especiallt THIS forum for the same reason...everyone here has also hit rock bottom and made the decision to change everything for the better...I LOVE THIS PLACE!!

LOL... you guys rock! I am also addicted to this particular forum. Everyone here is super supportive, but not only that, young people just have so many issues that our older wls friends can't exactly relate to in the same way. My mom for example never ever hopes to be in a bikini or tummy showing anything, me though... maaaybe... and some of you ladies I'm sure have a similar feeling :)

Im so exited to find people my age and was on this website for 2 months before I knew about this forum :)
All the people I know are much older then me that have had this surgery, and lets face it, its a different thing when your 20 and when your 40!
I do a lot of lurking but there is so many questions that I have that are already asked and answered sometimes I dont have anything to post.
glad to know there are other people who are going through the same thing as me.
