So I today its 3 weeks out (YAY).  I have lost about 30ish pounds. The only thing is, its all in my neck and chest and I think I look soooo weird.  Anyone else feel or felt this way???
Down 63lbs... my scale is sticking to 199.  I am under 200 YAY! Next goal, size 14 pants? October? Maybe? In 18s and a few 16s

me too. my face lost the first 10! haha! the nice thing is that even if your measurements are the same, people say "wow you have lost weight!" because they are looking at your face.
It seems like the weight loss starts at your face and then moves down to your neck, chest then eventually your legs. I was really disappointed that it didnt start in my hips, but now that Im 5 months and 70 lbs its a little more even looking.
I felt awkward too.  but I love the way my chest and neck look now! I love wearing tank tops even if my arms are a little flabby!

I understand completely. I'm down to women's Large shirts, but my hips/butt/thighs are keeping me in a 16/18 pant. It's not as drastic as it was when I was first out, and things have caught up a little bit. Then again, what woman doesn't have issues losing weight in their hips/butt/thighs?

I think the main thing is that this is the first time IN MY LIFE that I have lost a significant amount of weight. I'm just not used to the new me, and I do feel awkward. It's kind of like those weird pubescent years where your body is changing and you just don't know how to operate it yet. Only we're shrinking, not growing. Just more fun head v. body issues we get to go through.

hey ruth,

whats helped me feel a little bit more "even" is , i started measuring myself 1x per week.

ive done it 2 weeks in a row now, and you can really see that it really is even thru-out your new bod!

my loss is  in my hips , tummy and chest, and that helped me realize hey its not just in my face!!!

good luck!  i had my sugery like a week before yours :)

if you need anything lemme know!

My weight loss is the same way!  My first 17 pounds have been in my face and chest! Hopefully the tummy will come soon.
