dinner tonight if anybody needs help w/ food idieas and has a crockpot
so i love chicken it is the meat i eat the most. the hardest peace of the chicken for me to eat is the breast b/c it dries out so easily and gets tuff and that makes me mad. so tonight i decided to cook this chiken and stuffing recipie i found on a website i found off the recipie board that has lots of crockpot meals. well let me tell you after 6hrs of cooking on lo the chicken is so tender and juicey it can be cut with a knife and that makes me hapy. i can chew it with ease and it dosnt take me forever to chew it. i realy like this recipie. the website for anyone reading is http://saksfamily.no-ip.com/crockpot.html. they have lots of recipies and ill be trying another meal.
since being diagoncied w/ surver acid reflux my freshman year to the point i was basicly balimic b/c if i ate something it would just come up that is why i decided to have my surgery. i mean surgery is everyones choice. i love food but even before surgery i didnt realy eat fried greasy food. if i dont know how to cook it its not going to be cooked. so alot of the food i made before surgery was backed. the biggest problem i had is i love sweets. now the only sweet stuff i get is fruit. i didnt drink sodas i drunk alot of water. ive tried alot to lose weight and the most ive ever lost was 20lbs then ided gain back 40lbs. i somehow managed to maintain a weight of 280 for the last 4 years and i could fake happy very easy, but now i am truly happy. i say if i twas sersiously just easy as 123 and omit this and that and add this instead there would be alot more skinner people. so like i said if you are happy with trying it that way go ahead, but know i am happy like many others with my descion and would not take it back for a million bucks.
I'm just going to throw my two cents out there- You have only been on the site a few days and it is much too soon for you to decide whether you are having the surgery or not. I read your story and it sounds like you can qualify for the surgery. One thing you have to do is get your mind ready for it. The health concerns you expressed are big ones and really need to be taken care of. You are way too young to let this get the best of you. If it was easy as the things you describe above, none of us would be here. Good luck in whatever decision you make. Keep us posted.
I have two crockpots and use them at least twice a week. I teach piano lessons and have to make dinner ahead for my husband and son to eat before I'm done teaching.
A great series of crockpot books are Fix It and Forget It. They do make one with lighter recipies too.
The nice thing is, you can't really screw up anything made in a crock pot!! My kind of cooking style!
