I honestly do not have an answer for your question, hon. Sorry.

Is talking to your surgeon/family doctor out of the question about this?

And I didn't know that birth control pills didn't work post-op. Why is that? Sorry I'm a month out and very surprised to read that - I was never warned.

Because of absorbtion issues i was told that most BC pills are not as effective after RNY... post-op i have been on the Nuva Ring -  i love it and have no complaints! Talk to your PCP and see what they say :)

I am not 100% sure, but I do not think you have anything to be concerned about.  You are going to have a procedure done on a completely different area of your body and it is typically a quick procedure.  So basically, I would tell the doctor but I do not think your RNY will affect the outcome or way the procedure is performed.

A D&C should not affect anything having to do with surgery.  You will be awake when they dialte you, so they don't have to intibate you or anything.  Like the previous poster said, it will just be limited to your reproductive area.  I would still speak to your surgeon just to double check.

Even though I am not trying to persuade you from your decision, I will pray for you and your baby.

I'll second the motions to talk to your surgeon, and also reitterate that I can't forsee it to be any kind of issue as you're only sedated during the procedure and not under general anesthesia, as well as the fact that it's a totally different part of your body.

Please check your inbox as I'm sending you a more personal email. And nope, have no fears to read it.
