OMG! Date Re-Scheduled!

OMG! I swear this WLS is a huge rollercoaster of a journey! I just got the Approval Yesterday. I received a confirmation call from my Insurance Coordinator saying “Congrats" from the hospital today at 10:15 a.m. It’s 1:55 p.m. and they just called me b/c the Surgeon will not be able to perform my surgery on 05/28/09. Instead he will be doing it 05/29/09 which he normally doesn’t do but re-scheduling everyone he had on 05/28/09 and just pushing them back one day. Instead of weeks… Don’t get me wrong I am truly thankful. I still have my PreOp Date of 05/27/09 which is a good thing and a bad thing. OoO Well I am just lucky to have a date! I will stop venting I promise. Thanks for listing everyone! I am so glad you all are here!

I'm sorry! Atleast its only a one day difference.  And you have one more day to prepare! Good luck!

I think that's a totally legit thing to vent about. it's IS a roller coaster, to be sure. But it sounds like you're being a trooper about it ;)

aww dont worry the day will fly by!!
my surgeons office called me the 1st week of feb to tell me they had rescheduled from my original date of 3/6 to 4/3 A WHOLE FLIPPIN MONTH...a about died BUT i was very lucky that the scheduler added me to a cancellation list and by 2/10 i was in for pre-op and on 2/12 i was in surgery!!
talk about a roller coaster ride!!

it's one more day of "prep" for ya...lol
Until you're actually in your room recovering, being stressed and nervous is natural...seems like there's so many more hurdles PRE-OP than there is adjusting to a completely new anatomy and life post-op.
