Yes It's Official...APPROVED!

Yes It’s Official…APPROVED!   I am so excited. Goodness gracious it took like what seems forever. But goodness I know it hasn’t been. I started this on February 10^th 2009; that’s the day I called my insurance and asked for the criteria sheet. Today is April 21^st 2009 just a little over 2 months and my surgery is scheduled for May 28^th!!  My Surgeons Office just called and said they received a letter in regards to packet they submitted and everything is good to go!   As many of you already know I have BCBS of MI and we submitted prior to my newest 6 month med/pro supervised diet. Because back in 2005 I had an obgyn that put me on WW for 11months and he wrote a letter. So I was nervous about them wanting a newer 6mon diet. That’s why I have been doing one. Because if they came back and said they wanted one well I was already in the process. I then find out BCBS of MI doesn’t do Pre-Authorizations/Pre-Certifications. But my hospital and surgeon wanted something to prove they were going to cover it. But as of April 1, 2009 BCBS of MI changed their policy once more in my favor of course they waived the 6 month supervised diet for bmi over 50 and less than 50 it can be waived if you meet other criteria. So now my only worry is all gone; I am stoked! Can you tell? Sorry for posting everywhere! Lol

 Congratulations! Just a month away! The time is going to fly now!

Congratz on having a date! It will be here in no time and then you will look back and wonder where the time has gone and before you know it you will be on the losers bench with the rest of us! Keep up the great work and make sure you do all the cleaning/laundry/food shopping prior to surgery it will help you out when you get home.
