8 days

8 Days to go till RNY, and I'm getting antsy. Thank goodness I have all my things in order(finally), like short term disability from work. (I am missing an Iron chewable supplement, need to order one)

I'm trying to decided what I need to bring with me to the hospital. My iPod and ninDS for sure. I keep reading robe, need a robe. I wish I actually owned one now. I need a list, any suggestions would be great. /ramble off

Hi Megan, congrats on your new journey that is about to begin. I packed a bag, but honestly I really didn't need much.  My toothbrush, flip flops, and a change of clothes for departure was really all I used.  I walked the hall mostly in my gowns and once in my "hall outfit" , but the hospital gown was much more comfy.  I guess a robe would be nice for the walking.  The hospital supplied the socks so I didn't need the ones I packed and other than that... I had no other needs. Oh, I did take my iPod, but girl the drugs had me so out of it that I never thought twice about it......  I wish you an uneventful surgery and recovery...

loose clothes to wear on the ride home
a pillow to hold over your stomache for the ride home
chap stick, your lips will be very dry after surgery

with the drugs i was on i didn't want to try and play with or read anything

i took a whole but load of CRAP with me... didnt use any of it.
 
but what i did use

chapstick
flip flops
and a comfy pj set
some sunglasses for the ride home
tooth brush
deo
soap
panties
and a comfy sports bra

thats it...

I think I'll probably be walking home.
I live nearly across the street, I hope I can make it up that hill.

id say maybe bring the ipod...but id say FORGET the ds cause honey when you arent up walking around or trying to get some water/broth in you WILL be asleep!!!!
