New to the 20's board and I have a Stricture!

Hello All, My name is Kim and I am 26 years old. I had my surgery (open RYN) on 3.10.09 and recovery was going o****il I about the 4 week mark and I began having problems with liquids. I really haven't  had but one opportunity to eat solids and that was a little piece of chicken that got stuck. Oh the horror!!! I was in misery for 2 days.... Well anyway, my doc pretty much feels like I have a stricture and I am scheduled for a scope on Tues 4.14.09. Has anyone else had any issues with strictures and what was the first thing you ate or drank afterwards if so?

sorry to hear about your complications. one the ladies on my friends list amanda has had 2 or three strictures since surgery. she just got fixed from the latest one last week. get better and welcome to the board.
