Getting Ready... HELP!

Hey! I am having RNY on monday (YAY!!!).  What do I need in order to prepare for my hospital stay and for when I get home.  Is there anything you think is a must have???? Let me know

Hmmm. Sorry I don’t know much besides your pillow, chapstick, and my email so I can update everyone!!

Deal! I'm going to bring my laptop so I can post, (hopefully), we will see with the morphine drip lol

toothbrush/paste, chapstick for sure. loose comfy clothes for coming home, some slippers of flip flops for walking around in.

 wipes. deodorant. tight braids. 

The tight braids are an awesome idea! I would have never thought of that.. my hair drives me nuts when its not washed and I know I won't want to be washing it and drying it. 

Yayyy good luck, it's gonna be awesome, I'm way jealous!!! 

 Bring a comfy robe!!!  It's so much nicer to get up and walk the halls in something that will cover your bum that's comfortable and cute.  

I slept a lot, so a pillow from home is always good.  Maybe if you want to not feel so hospital funky, bring some makeup for afterwards so you will look refreshed...even if you don't feel it completely.

Sounds like everyone said what you should bring but I was also told gas-x strips... although i havent had surgery so i dont know for sure if they are helpful

For your hospital stay, pretty much like everyone said.  Toothbrush, toothpaste, a big robe... I tell ya, i flashed about 90% of everyone who entered my room.  See, the thing with Morphine, is that you're slow to respond to tell a loved one to please cover your junk (or lack thereof) when someones about to walk in, like let's say, that gorgeous gal or guy you work with that decided to visit you.  Yikes!

PILLOW! BLANKETS...YOU WILL BE FREEZING!!! MOUTHWASH!!!
