Question for the ladies here...

My surgery is 5/12 and I am sure I will have my period like the day after surgery... which means while Im still in the hospital!!! Did anyone experience this? It totally freaks me out because I HATE PADS... Im assuming they wont let you/you couldnt use a tampon? AHHHHHHHHH freaking out so bad that I want to change the surgery date!!! Help!!!

there's no security checkpoint...sneak a few tampons into your "luggage"...
although my surgery put my period off almost two weeks...so it may be a while before it's predictable again....but better safe than sorry!

I got my period 2 days before my surgery, I was sooo mad!! i only had it 2 weeks prior! but before that I hadn't had it in 6 months haha!
I used tampons in hospital, I had no problem, although I was a little stiff I managed, bring tampons and pads just in case, you'll be fine. I had absoloutly no issues with my period.

I got mine in the hospital - 2 days after surgery.  I didn't know when it would be coming because I was late anyway (recently off BCP).  My cramps were horrendous - worse than the post surgery pain - and I don't usually get cramps.  I brought pads with me just in case.  I don't see why they wouldn't let you use tampons.

Yeah- i wasnt supposed to start until like 2 weeks out... i get there the day of surgery- im sitting back in the room waiting to be prepped and i start! yeah that was AWESOME lol. but i had no real issues with tampons- i did use pads for the first 2 days just because i couldnt exactly move enough to work with a tampon lol but after i got home i was good to go :) youll be fine
