Hello,

I'm new to this particular board, though I've posted a bit at the band board. This board just seemed like maybe a nice place to go (people my own age and such).

I'm about 3wks out from my surgery and doing very well (though I worry I'm eating far too much, but I've lost 20lbs, so I can't be doing that bad)...the only problem is, that I'm going through this weird "I hate everyone and everything" stage. I've got more going on in my little world than just my new band, but I can't get out of this funk I'm in.

Did any of you go through anything like this? Any suggestions??

Hi Lisa. Welcome to this board.
I went through a funk too after my surgery. I had RNY and I was in LOTS of pain though. So I think that was my personal reason for being in the funk.

You seem to be doing good with your band though !

Hello and welcome to the board!

I sometimes will still get into a funk about not being able to run to food when I have a stressful issue I'm dealing with.  Sometimes I will be "jealous" of people for being able to eat whatever they want, however much they want.   It's hard but I know I'm doing the right things and it makes me a better person for it.  It will pass for you soon, I'm sure since everything is still so very new.

Again, welcome!

~Emily~
