I have a hard time doing the protein shakes...they usually make me sick... So I've been trying to eat SEVERAL times a day... I got in 80+ grams of protein today...here's what I ate

2% milk cheddar cheese cheesestick 1oz
3 oz peppered turkey lunchmeat (low fat too)

This is the bad one... 4 scrambled eggs cooked in I cant believe its not butter (it took two sittings to eat this)

And then at dinner I had 4oz grilled chicken

And before bed, 2 oz (14g of protein) of sharp cheddar cheese....

Did I do bad, by having too much cheese/eggs? Or is this ok? Anyone have any tips or ideas?

thanks yall!

I'm pretty sure 1 egg is one serving so cut the eggs down a little i think.
and this is a pretty cool recipe for a protien drink that my mum used to give me as a kid.
She called it an egg flip hehe.
You need 1 egg , 200mls of skim or low fat milk, a few drops of vanilla escence and 1 teaspoon of powdered skim milk, shake it up like a milkshake and that's it. it gives about 14 grams of protien which is awesome and it tastes really nice =)

it looks fine. Even the scrambled eggs in margarine is fine from what I've heard, as long as you keep the margarine under a tablespoon or two per day. If you switch from regular eggs to EggBeaters or egg whites, then you can get tons of protein with virtually no fat, carbs, or cholesterol that comes with regular eggs. You could also get rid of the margarine all together and mix some of that cheese with the eggs. A one egg omelet with lite cheddar cheese and Mrs. Dash sprinkled in with a little bit (since it's high in sugar) of Heinz 57 steak sauce is my absolute favorite breakfast :)

I'm an egg/dairy girl myself, so I don't see any problem with it... of course, I'm the type who is less strict about calories and more strict about always exercising and about choosing foods that give you good nutrients, even if they have slightly more fat (i.e. avocados, eggs, etc I like, non-fat uber processed powdered weirdness I avoid, because, well- I have taste buds).

One thing I do hit up the artificial world for though are these things called protein bullets (Or some brands are called protein shots). I'm not gonna lie, they don't taste good. but they are only 3 oz, so I can drink them in 3 or 4 determined swallows (and when I had my band I could drink them in 1). Those little vials have anywhere from 26-52 grams of protein. And they are a lifesafer when I'm trying so hard to get in protein, but the idea of another shake sends me up the wall.
