My Date has been moved. Ahhhh I am so upset. Bye Bye 05/14/2009. And Hello 05/28/2009. It’s only 2 weeks but still. I just keep telling my self “next month; I have surgery" it sounds better.

I'm sorry; I know it's disappointing. I was all set to go with one surgeon and got cold feet so decided to start with a new one (who I completely like and trust). I now have a stress test and sleep study to do as well as a PCP visit so my surgery that was originally going to be January is now looking more like June lol... But I like this surgeon so much better that I'm ok with waiting and having more requirements from him.

I keep trying to tell myself it's for a good reason and maybe yours is too. Maybe this is a better day for you to have!

Take this extra time to become a "surgical athlete." Start walking, if you're not already, do some breathing exercises, drink lots of water, get your support systems in place, clean the house, get a mani/pedi, get your hair done, buy some comfy elastic waist pants (I've been wearing mine continually since surgery), take your measurements, read, journal, get ahead at work/school, do something you really like (crafts, painting, music, whatever). I did all this stuff--it helped pass the time, and psyched me up for the big day.

Don't worry sweetie!  Everything happens for a reason and it'll be here before you know it!
