3 month checkup

Three month checkup today. Literally the shortest appointment I've ever had. I go through Washington University Medical Center in St. Louis, so I had the intern first come chat with me, then my surgeon.

Intern: So how's it going

Me: Great, I've lost sixty pounds in three months.

Intern: Everything going okay? How are you doing with food.

Me: I can eat just about anything I want, provided it's not too high in fat or sugar. And if it is, I know it and don't eat it again.

Intern: Awesome. You seem to know what you're doing. Let me go chat with Dr. Eagon, and we'll be back.

Repeat conversation with Dr. Eagon.

It's such a joy to be on track for something. My surgeon is so pleased with my weight loss, and looks for me to lose my remaining excess weight within the next nine months. It's amazing to go to the doctor and have them say, "Hey, you're doing great. You're getting healthier, and things are going well."

Considering I wasn't even done growing the last time I was at this weight, I am not sure what comes next, but it should be fun.

WAHOOO for being healthy and lighter and happier.

That's awesome. I have the realize band and seeing how much you guys are losing kinda makes me think I had the wrong surgery but I'm so glad you are doing so well. :) I'm tired of being in the prime of my life and missing out, you know? GOOD JOB THOUGH!!!
