Cleaning out the closet.
I just cleaned out my closet. I have cleaned my dresser out a bit already, but I hadn't touched my closet.
I had a closet full of clothes. Dresses, suits, etc.
I now have five closet items that fit me. Four had been sitting in there for at least 3 years. They were donated to me, and I was too big for them, so they just sat there.
The fifth item is a skirt I bought in 2003. And it's loose. SWEEET
On the positive side, I'm losing lots of weight.
On the negative side, I'm going to be running around naked. And I have no desire to scare the general public.

Ok, so you don't have many clothes yet, but just think about how it felt to realize they were all too big!! How wonderful is that??
AND to know that now you HAVE to go shopping. And while it may be a little expensive, a) think about all the cute clothes you'll be able to try on and fit into now, and b) don't forget that you can take your clothes to consignment shops and get credit for all the great clothes they have there. Oh, and of course, don't forget the thrift stores and sale/clearance racks.
Isn't it great?? My problem is that I keep thinking things I have are too small when actually they are too big. Some of my stuff is so cute though that it's sad to see it go but that's ok, more cute stuff to come!!
Enjoy your shopping trip! I have to do one of those coming up here really soon.

I'm not doing much of anything special for diet and excercise, really.
Protein shake a day
I eat when I'm hungry (every 5-6 hours or so. and if I want a snack, I have a snack)
Usually lean protein and some carbs tossed in, fresh veggies, etc.
Lots of yogurt (meal for about 50 cents, oh yeah)
I'm really active. I bowl, I walk about 2 miles a day, and I'm always going somewhere
I love my balance ball. I can sit and watch TV and work out my core at the same time.
I get in my water. Not a problem for me, as I'm a water *****
I don't meticulously count calories and obsess over numbers. I just make sure to get in my protein first. It's more of a guesstimation on my part. I eat low fat and low sugar. Too much sugar or carbs and too much fat makes me feel like crap (I don't think its "dumping" per se, I just feel like total poo), so I don't eat anything high in sugar or carbs or fat. I just make good choices when I decide to eat.
Getting in enough calories was an issue for me. If I don't get around 600-700 a day, I don't lose weight. So I've made sure to aim for that mark (ish) everyday. Sometimes it means eating when I'm not hungry.
Basically, my diet is weigh****chers with little bitty portions. Making good choices and doing the right things. It's not hard for me at all, which was the most surprising thing. I think because I did weigh****chers for so long (with very little success) I was at an advantage. I knew how to make healthy choices before surgery, so it wasn't quite the shock that some people have. Also, I didn't have a food addiction, so that helped as well.
Trust me, I still want crappy foods. French fries are a particular weakness. I've had a few, and they didn't kill me. And by a few, I mean, maybe one or two at a meal here or there when out to eat with family or friends. Kills the craving and it's all I can eat of them without feeling like crap.
Thanks so much for the support and congratulations, everyone!! I can't wait to go buy new things that fit.
