BirthControl ??
I just visted with my nutritionist last thursday, and shes happy with my weight loss so far. I need to lose 25lbs before surgery, so far im down 7, 18 more to go!! Time to kick it up a knotch. She said that when I see the surgeon on April 15th he will probally take me off my birthcontrol pills, to get ready for surgery, estrogen increses the risk of clots i guess. Im suppose to be getting the Mirena IUD which is estrogen free, at the end of april. I wonder if that should be okay?? Estrogen wise, since its estrogen free...... Just wondering if anyone else has been in this kinda sitution before? THANKS!!!!!!

I havent had surgery yet, but when my doctor asked me about what birthcontrol I was on, I told him that i had mirena put in after I had my daughter and he was pleased to hear it. so Im pretty sure that you will be fine! plus I LOVE LOVE LOVE the mirena...its so nice...i rarely have periods and if I do have them its just spotting. Also i have a booklet that says it is more effective then getting your tubes tied. pretty cool huh? well anyways good luck!

Anywho i had surgery Dec 3rd- I had to stop my BC 2 months before surgery and start back 30 days after surgery.
I went from the pills to the NUVA RING-which i highly recommend!
All DR's are different and say different things!
