I have been on OH for a couple of months and cant believe I've never found this forum.  I am 23 years old and having my surgery (RNY) on Wednesday!

So just wondering... as us being young still... do you feel as normal as your peers.  Of course I mean better and healtheir with losing weight.  But like what about going out to dinner, or having ****tails?  Do you still do that?

I am just so nervous for Wednesday!  I had the Lap-Band already and it had a mechanical faluire so it is being removed.  I dont want to fail again!

I'm sure once your healed you will be able to do everything a normal 20 something does. As for the going out for ****tails so of the girls on the board do this every once in a while but they drink maybe 1 possibly 2 drinks compaired to someone who hasnt had WLS  and can have a whole lot more. Your supposed to wait 6months- to a year before you start drinking though from what I've heard. I'm only just over a week out of surgery so I haven't done that yet, good luck on wednesday

hey girl wellcome!!!!. congrats 4 your surgery!!!! younger is better lol.

about your cuestions ... hell yeahh!. 1th 6 months are kindda weird `cuz you have to be carful about eating out. and stuff like that. but i never stayed home beause of that. i always found the way to enjoy my self around my friends.

and now i`m a year out. and you could never guess i had WLS.!! I drink and eat preaty much as a normal persib. now i`m able to eat like my thin girlfriends so you wouln´t notice that i had some restriction. yes i drink when i go out I try to no drink to much `cuz it can be a transfer adiction but I love to have a couple of drinks when i go out with my friends. life is more enjoyble now! soooo
yeah i feel normal, and great!.

and about the band problem you might wanna talk to ana. she had the same problem and she just had a revision to VSG. she is been so brave about all this situation she can help you out dealing with this. and she is a very lovely girl. u are gonna love her.

you will be fine. when it comes to going out to a resturant with friends you just ask the waitress to not cook it with all the butter or tell them put the butter on the side. every thing can be modified. I also know that going out to eat means i get two or so extra meals left out of this one to last me a couple of days. you will be fine and welcome to the board. I was told i could have alchol now and im 3mnths out i had one it was tolarable but i got tipsy faster. I am glad I had the surgery while im still young. I am able to walk and do what evver i want preaty much since losing some weight. so good luck on wednesday you will be in my prayers.
