Protein powders

So I'm planing on getting some protein whey powders to try before my surgery to see what I think I'll like for after when I'm on the liquid stage.
Having never even touched one of these jars, does anyone know how I'll be making them?
Do they get mixed with water or milk?
Just trying to get an idea of what I should expect before I buy them.
Any good brands people would suggest?

i bought the syntha 6. in cookies and cream..  i mix 1 cup of ice, 1 cup of water 2tablespoons of sugar free choc. syrup and a tablesppon of sugar free peanut butter...

i think it taste like a reese peanut butter cup!!!

thats the only one that i like...

the pure protein bars are okay... but i can only do them every now and then.. to chewy for me!!!

ground turkey is the best for me..

I use a basic vanilla protein powder, evopro, and add sugar free pudding powder to give it whatever flavor I want.  I use soy milk most of the time but you can use water, milk or soy, whatever floats your boat.  Just a word to the wise, your tastes may change after surgery, before I had this berry flavored protein powder mix and loved it and after surgery even the smell made me gag.  You are just going to have to experiment.  Also a good one is slim fast now has a low carb shake that has 20 grams of protein in one can, its pretty good for on the go.

I use GNC...Caramel Chocolate :) I know most don't use GNC or anything but - since I weight lift guess it's a little different. But nothing tastes better!

Before workout 2 scoops with water. After workout 2 scoops with milk, 2 scoops all natural organic peanut butter, 4 ice cubes...and decent amount of oats and almonds. SO GOOD.

It ain't how you die it's how you breathe - it ain't what you take it's what you leave and conceive. What you got is nothing if your soul don't represent it -...present it, because it ain't where you from it's where you been kid.

Took my heart; froze that. Promised that if I opened it up it would
never close back.

Hi,

I'm still PreOp but I'm doing the same thing, trying different kinds of protein powders.  Right now I'm using Unjury because a bunch of people recommended it.  I bought the chocolate and the unflavored.  I usually mix the chocolate with milk and ice and a banana and blend it up in the blender. I really like that one.  The chocolate by itself is pretty good too.  I have been using the unflavored more though.  I am mixing it with SF Crystal Light and water.  I've made that into smoothies (with ice in the blender) but I also just drink that by itself.  It's delicious because you don't lose any of the flavor of the Crystal Light. Oh, I only use half the packet when I do the Crystal Light thing  because I only use 8 oz of water so the entire packet is not really necessary.  Then I get two servings out of one :)  There are a bunch of other ones I want to try, but for now it's just Unjury.
