Measurements

Okay so when I had my surgery I did not take before pictures or measure myself because I had been big for so long that there were plenty of pictures to see and all that good stuff.  Now I am wishing that I had of measured myself because I just had to because I am looking for a dress (which I'll get to in a minute) and I needed to know my bust/waist/hip numbers.  I have to say that now I'm a little depressed (which is stupid) because I know that if I had my before measurements I would feel so much better.  Anyway, if you are pre-op and haven't thought about doing it, do it, it may or may not payoff but at least you'll have your #s! 

As for the dress, I am going to a party in May called Tacky Prom and I am trying to find an 80s style prom/bridesmaid/pageant dress and it is proving difficult.  After going to all the thrift stores/goodwills/salvation armies in the tri county area I can't find anything my size.  Its either way too small or way too big.  So if anyone has anything with about a 37" waist and 42" bust please let me know!

....psh - I got them Mariah Carey measurements GIRL! I got the nice bust with the sexxxxxy hips. I wear apple bottom jeans.

I'm a bad comedian.

Only measurement that matters for me is my neck - and waist...so ahem.

Neck went from a 26 1/2...to 14 exactly. Now HERE IS THE SHOCKER OF ALL SHOCKERS.
I remember going to big and tall - cause that USE to be the ONLY PLACE I could even hope they would have 1 shirt with a collar that fit - which was really maybe once every 6 months - but they don't even have a neck size smaller then 18 - even in department stores it's extremely hard to find 14's....sigh

Waist...74 - actually to be brutally honest probably should have been 76 or higher - cause once I hit 74 couldn't go any higher.

Now I'm between 38-42 depending on how the jeans are cut.

Oh + I have big hands and big feet. Once again - bad comedian.

Size 14 shoes are hard to find. And with High Top Jordans...15's are almost impossible - that is the bane of my exsistence.

I didn't take my measurements either and was kind of mad at myself until I found some in a notebook from about 4 years ago. I was astonished at how different I was. And at the time I took them I was only 20 pounds heavier but I was in awful shape. My waist went from a 46 to a 38 and my hips went from a 54 to a 41 :) My chest even went from a 46 to a 40. It is wonderful to know those things but I still wish I would have taken measurements before surgery when I was at my biggest...

my "before" pics just make my pouch turn...it's like looking at someone else that I feel really bad for...

hey gril. never is to late to take that measurements. take them now. and you can know for the size of your old jeans and tops.  this is better than weight. lol. so do it know .

waist- 44.   now   28.
bust.   48   now      38.
hips.   47   now      37.

do you have an idea what size that is? I usually have a lot of dresses, whether or not they will work for a tacky prom, I'm not sure, but I could look.... is that like a 14? 16?

Prolly a 16, i need something really tacky tho.  But i would really appreciate you looking :)
