EC/plan B (female question)

 Does EC (plan B) work post op?  Also if you have taken it did it make you an emotional wreck?  Did you experience anything weird with it?  
Long story short my bfs condom broke last night and I was thinkin about takin plan B cos u can never b to careful and I am not currently on birth control(i have never been sexually active before recently and my ob wanted to wait til i was 6 mon out to put me on the pill) - i was just wonderin if ya'll knew anything about plan B (in general or related to the surgery)

I'm not familliar with plan B...
BUT...malabsorption may be an issue...call your OB ASAP to find out for sure!
My gyno was worried about the effectiveness of any oral meds and put in a Mirena IUD just to be safe...

I am not sure how it works Post-Op.  But Plan B you can only take up to 72 hours after being sexually active.  Anything longer than that, there is a greater chance of it not working.  Google it, there will me a lot more info.  Good luck!

I heard pills are mostly malabsorbeda Iud sounds great sign me up

hey amber.. i had an opps one night.. prob just about 1 month out post op.. i took it, i didnt have any problems.. the cramping was really bad, but that was it. i chewed the pills, i took both at the same time...

I have had to take it on 3 separate occasions. I was about 5 months out when I took the first one and I just straight up swallowed it. I have not gotten pregnant once since. You gotta do what you gotta do. I am on the pill now and have had no issues with the whole malabsorbtion of the pill. It works great and I am about 20 pounds from goal.
