My skin has been BEAUTIFUL since about 3 mons post-op...but I think it's all because I'm actually getting in some vitamins and GALLONS of fluids...I sure as hell wasn't thin then!
lol...I think our skin and hair reflect our health for sure!...
So maybe not so much because they were thin...but they were thin with beautiful hair and skin because of their healthy habits...
good post!

I am having some hair loss and my skin is still acting a little crazy from the hormone changes, so I don't know first hand if it will improve but I can only hope. I have very curly hair so you can't tell it's a little thinner than before.

However, i think the others have a real point... especially about stuff that we do now as thinner, more health conscious people that affects our hair and skin- like making good food choices, getting lots of vitamins, etc.
my skin has improved, but only slightly. Maybe that means I can look forward to more good things. I'd be down for that!
to be honest, i noticed a change about 3 months after i started taking all the vitamins on the regular. {so about 2 months pre-op}...
Now that i had my surgery, i have experianced some minor hair loss [more like shedding] but nothing drastic. Both my skin and hair look and feel amazing, more so than ever before. My hair is shiny and is growing fast and my skin is smooth and for lack of any other word "glowing"...haha. I also, use a Biotin shampoo and conditioner [MILL CREEK] and take a biotin supplement both pre-op and now post-op which has seemed to really help (or at least i think it does)
ALTHOUGH, the rapid weight loss has caused bags....well more like dark circles, under my eyes. I'm working on getting rid of them, but man, they are resistant.
