eating again
i had my surgery almost 7 months ago and have lost 115 lbs. i feel great but now that i'm able to eat more...well, I have been. I find myself eating things I know I shouldn't because I can tolerate it again. I am also at a plateau with my weight loss. I don't know if it's temporary or if I have already lost what I probably will lose. does anyone have any answers?
hi. it depends about how much weight you have to lose. if you are near to goal isprobably that your weigh loss is gonna be much slower now. my weigh loss stoped aroun 8 month. cuz also iwas able to eat more so now i have to diet hard and exercise to keep losing. remember that this is a tool we have to work it. so get back to basics. in order to keep losing the weight
u can do it!!!!
hang in there

Hey! Congrats on your weight loss, that's awesome!
Mariana is right. Depending on how much you have to lose, you will slow down quite a bit. I'm only going on 4 months out and I have slowed down dramatically. But, I didn't start out very big and I don't have as much weight lose as some....and if you remember, we only lose 60-75% of our EXCESS body weight, so you may not get to your ideal weight with just the surgery alone. I'm a big believer in that you can lose as much weight as you want but we really have to work on it, especially if you are close to goal.
Do you use a food journal? I have found that it's most helpful for me to be accountable. If I actually see that I had a few too many of this or that, it makes me more aware that I need to be more careful. I use fitday.com because it breaks down how much fat, protein and carbs you are getting so you can stay on track with your protein.
Keep exercising too and challenge yourself with it! Do something you never tried or never though you could do...I've started jogging and if you knew me, that's not something I thought I'd ever do in my life. Activity will always help break a plateau.
Most important, keep a positive outlook!!! Look how far you've already come and look at all the potential you have to go even further.
Best of luck!
