surgery is... TOMORROW!!!!!

hi people..!

my name is angie, im new here. im having my lap band placed tomorrow at south nassau communities hospital in oceanside, ny. are there any other long islanders here?! my surgeon is rajeev vohra.

i'm nervous/excited/happy.. a definitie mix of emotions!

how are you all doing today?! do you have any advice for me?

Thats awesome! good luck to you girlie. Hope all goes well. my advice is relax. I know its hard to do. but if you relax it helps. I know where you're coming from with the mix emotions. I was there too. Relax, everything is going to go great!

Hey! Welcome and good luck! I'm still in the early stages of this whole process but  the more relaxed and at ease you are the better it will go. Instead of worrying just think of how great you're going to feel in a year or so!

I just has surgery on 3/20 and I've been trying to deal with the slight pain/soreness along with the neausea. I think i was taking to much pain meds and when I cut back it got better. However, for the last 3 days I have felt like I have to burp but it gets stuck and hurts for a few seconds and then goes away. Today has been the first day that I can handle eating anything. I've been trying to get the water in but that has not been workin out so well, its hard when I can only take little sips, but I'm working on it.
