1st post op

i had my surgery on monday and my surgeon said everything went as planned, so that was comforting. the pain wasnt as bad as i thought it was going to be. the only thing that is really bothering me is that it feels like i have an aching knot in the center of my back also my left side is sore and it hurts when i try to burp! other than that.. im ok. did anyone have the back pain at all??

I did. but for me it went away because a lot of that for me was gas. sorry if tmi.

Congratulations on your surgery!!!! I had mine on 3/11 and I experienced the same thing you are going through. The pain was in my upper back and shoulders though and not in the center of my back. That pain was the worst part of the whole surgery! It will get better, I promise! It took me about  6 days to finally get rid of the back/shoulder pain, but everyday it got better.
