The more things the change, the more they're still the same.

I am about 5 weeks out from RNY and I have NO regrets.... It is a MAJOR lifestyle change...and you need to MENTALLY prepare for that aspect...but once you have the surgery..and you make your few little mistakes, you basically mentally change.

So many things in my life have changed since surgery.  For example, me and my boyfriend would go out to eat every fri and sat night, spending at least $60 a night!!  We would order, sugar drinks, (tea, soday etc) an appetizer (sp?) our meal, complete with potatoes, and possibly a salad, and of course the free bread rolls they all give out, then a desert on occasion.

Now...I cant imagine how I ate all that food!  And when I see someone doing that, I think to myself...JESUS, THATS A LOT OF CALORIES!!!  I want to scream to the person...DONT DO IT!!!  But i know that here in the real world...I would look like an idiot.

Since surgery I have also gotten the b/f eating healthier.  I was so proud of him the other day...instead of getting a double cheese burger...he ordered a salad when he went on his lunch break!

Not to mention...I FEEL GREAT!  I can run up and down my stairs without being winded...I have lost 40+ lbs since surgery!  None of my clothes fit!!  (sounds bad, but its fab!!)

Sarah, best of luck to you, strap on your seatbelt because you are in for the ride of your life!!

Good luck Sarah!  This was one of the best decisions I ever made for myself.  You just have to be prepared for a total lifestyle change, but its the best one ever!
