So excited!
Well, I had a couple of wow and exciting moments this weekend. First, I hung out with the guy I have been talking to on Saturday and Sunday. (Still trying to figure out what exactly is going on between us....but really enoying my time with him nonetheless!). On Saturday we were chatting about my small acomplishments at the gym (actually running on the treadmill instead of just walking) and he commented how he can see such a difference in me. I kind of brushed it off because I don't quite see it like everyone else does. He said there is a crazy difference between when we met in December and when we hung out the first time in February--so much so that he couldn't really believe it. Our conversation continued with him just being amazingly supportive of me, the surgery and just kept commenting on how great I look and can't believe the difference in a matter of two weeks when I saw him last. I couldn't help but to be excited by those comments! Then, later that night, we were at the bar to celebrate my sister-in-law's birthday. A couple of family friends were there. They haven't seen me in about a year. She kept going on and on about the amazing transformation and how different I looked and even carried myself. Of course the guy had to nudge me I say 'I told you so" LOL
Then, I weighed myself on Sunday morning....and I am down 51 pounds!! I just couldn't believe it! When I started this journey, I was wearing a VERY tight size 26 top and bottom. Now, I am wearing a size 22 bottom (and even they are beginning to be a bit baggy!) and an 18/20 top! I can't believe how much has changed in such a sort period of time! When I had surgery in January, I was hoping to be down 50 pounds by my birthday (which is April 20th) and I have already reached that! So, now I'm hoping/shooting for 65-75 pounds down. Heres to hoping!
Sorry about my little rant...just wanted to share! You guys are amazing and am very thankful for all of your support and encouragement!

That's so cool that you've been open and honest about your WLS and even cooler that he is supportive of your major transformation...the more cheerleaders, the better on this journey!!
It's nice that you have people around you to help you gauge your success...it really does take a long time to wrap your head around the extent of your loss...lol...so as strange as it feels, ENJOY all the complements...they're true afterall, even if YOU can't see it yet...everyone else can!
