YAY a Bridesmaid, but I'm still fat!?!?!
Hello All! So I got good news and bad news and a questions for ya'll!!! I am so excited for my friend she is getting married May 30 and asked me to be a bridesmaid, which i am also excited about too because I have never been a wedding. The bad news is I haven't has SX and expecting to in April. So yesterday when I ordered the dress I ordered a size smaller then what I would fit now. Was that a good idea? Future thinking? Because I got my final tesing this week. Any advice I would welcome. Thanks!!!!

Was that the latest that you could order your dress? When I was at David's Bridal trying them on, I actually asked the girl when the latest day was that I could purchase my dress. I told her I had had surgery and asked what she thought I should do. She really snapped to it and told me the last date I should come in and order the dress, and then she told me they can fit me and order a size smaller. I would also ask, is it a common bridesmaids dress and where are you getting it? with a DB dress, they often have a few in stock- it makes it a lot easier if things don't work out last minute. but if its not, and you have to order way in advance, I think it was a good decision going with one size smaller. Good luck
As someone told me lately, everyone deserves the chance to fly!
I have a very similar problem! My friend is getting married in September and we need to order the dresses in June. I'm hoping to have surgery in July so who knows where I'll be at (size wise)in September. Is there any way you could order a second dress in the size you currently wear and then return the one you don't use? Also, a word of advice, you should find someone who can alter your dress at the last minute, just in case you need it taken in our let out. I was in a wedding back in 2007 and when I tried the dress on about a month before the wedding it was a little snug. I dieted for that month and then, two days before the wedding I tried the dress on again and it was way too big. I hadn't even lost that much weight, but all the weight I lost must have been in my chest because the darn thing wouldn't stay up! I had to find someone who could take it in just one day before the wedding. It was a nightmare. I found someone and after some begging and pleading she said she could see me after hours and get it done in time. It all worked out in the end, I just wish I had done that research earlier! Good luck!
