So I had my surgery in December, and I was doing great up until a month ago... that is when my weight loss basically stopped... I mean I am still loosing weight, just VERY slowly.... like 2lbs a week (and to accomplish that I have to go to the gym every day for at least an hour.  I am just really frustrated because I was loosing about 6lbs-8lbs a week... and then it just stopped one day. I talked to my doctor and he says it is normal because I never had that much weight to loose in the first place. I started out 215lbs the day of surgery, and now I am 172lbs.  I want to get to the 130's but this is now taking longer for me to loose weight than it did before surgery.  I am eating under 1000 calories a day and getting in most of my protein and I go to the gym at least 5 times a week, but usually 6.  What can I do to speed up my weight loss? I hate this, it is driving me nuts!!!  I am even considering just going back on all liquids like we did in the first phase of surgery.

you gotta change your excercise program. our bodies dont like it when we become complacent because they get used to the excercise and then they become lazy. You could try cross training, gym one day, swim the next, then maybe try mountain walking. Or you could intensify your cardio, have you heard of interval training its the best at blasting fat and it doesnt take as long as a hour of cardio on the eliptal or treadmill....the point is to WORK SMARTER NOT HARDER :-D

do you do weights at the gym??? weights are good too!
keep up with the water intake

keep it up, your stall will break, as frustrating as it is. we are here for you to vent anytime
