1st Consult was today....
Well my 1st consult was today and I was soooo nervous, not sure why though. The office staff was so nice, I gave them my packet and they gave me a few more forms to fill out that were missing, they were laughing and joking around and made me feel so much at ease. I met some patients in the waiting room and we talked a bit which also made me feel more comfortable.
They took my BP (134), height (5'4) and weight (339). I met with the surgeon, patient coordinator and nutritionist. They spelled everything out for me in black and weight and gave me alot of handouts. The surgeon even drew a picture showing me the bypass which I thought was funny, I was actually shocked to see how small the opening for the new stomach will be though. I have to attend a seminar on March 26th, see a psych and get some tests done at the hospital (EKG, chest ray, and blood work). They surgeon said my surgery could be as soon as EARLY APRIL!!!!!!

You simply cannot be beaten if, at the end of the day, some tiny part of you can still whisper: "I will try again tomorrow"
