PMS/Menstrual Hunger
Okay, I know it's in my head. I KNOW it's in my head. GET OUT OF MY HEAD.
When I'm PMS-ing/on my period, I go through a couple of days (max 3) where I just have no off-button on my hunger. I'm not really hungry, but everything I eat just doesn't seem to satisfy me. This was a pre-op thing, and now I'm noticing it post-op. I have tried the following:
- excercise instead of eat (4 miles today instead of my usual two, plus resistance tone-up)
- work on something productive instead of eat (my house is now spotless and my bookshelves are alphebetized)
- drink TONS of water instead of eat (96oz today plus protein shake and OJ)
That's it for today. I'm exhausted and cranky and I've been peeing every 15 minutes. I've managed to not eat anything other than my meals. Success!!!
However, If I have to do this three days out of every month, I think I'll go insane. I don't have these issues any other time of the month. I've been good, and I'm trying to be good.
Anyone got any suggestions on how to manage this stuff?

It is time to break out the nuts! I love me some peanuts at that time and chow down when I need to... same thing with popcorn... That's at least what I do. I make sure I do everything in moderation as well... but just to be happy and shut everything else I have me a handful of peanuts or almonds.

hi girl i know how u feel is really hard to stay away from food specialy sweet things `cuz our bodies need some sugar. for me i can´t try any `cuz its like an adiction to me if i break my diet i will eat tons of the wrong food all day long. so what i do is eat one of thos honey canddy. here in mexico sell bee honey candys that are natural (from the real bee)and don´t have a lot of calories. i`m not sure if you have those in the states. but my nutricionist recomend those for those craving sugar moments and it seams to work very well
other thing that works for me is the cereal bar that are very sweet just check that the carbs are very low. or maybe some apple with peanut butter.
