hey guys, im starting week two where i actually get to have something besides  popcisles and water and broth.....thank god! I need ideas for "full liquids" and squishy foods....not the thickness of eggs yet. (:( boo)

I have on my list so far...sf pudding, sf applesauce, cream of chicken soup, skim milk.

Can I have rice crispys??  with splenda of course??  of should i wait on that one?

You can get plan Greek yogurt and mix a little crystal light in it...yum and the Greek yogurt has 17g of protein as opposed to 5g in regular yogurt.  I have also been enjoying egg drop soup..yummy.  I make it with extra egg white to bump up the protein.  Low fat cottage cheese also has 11 g of protein in only 4 ounces.  I am not sure about the Rice Crispys.  They are not on the diet my surgeon gave me.

I wouldn't do the rice krispies, personally.

I ate sf puddings, soups, protien shakes, hummus, etc.  My favorite protein shake was to blend vanilla shake with some peanut butter, banana, and ice.

I won't lie, this stage was the most miserable part.  Thank God it only lasted 2 weeks!

Good luck!

Hummus is pureed chick peas (garbanzo beans) with a few other spices and things.  It's like a bean dip, only very very smooth.  My favorite brand is Wild Garden, it comes in a jar and I find it in with the health food/organic section of my grocery store.  There are a few other brands in the refrigerated section of the store but I don't like those as well.   The Wild Garden is nice because they come in different flavors like roasted garlic, fire-roasted red pepper, sun-dried tomato, etc.

I ate it during full liquids and I still eat it now with a few pita chips.

If you try some, I hope you like it!

Stay away from Carbs as long as you can, seriously!  eat soft foods with as much protein as you can find, the other girls have listed great suggestions.
